This property is located in a group of houses, below the town, but at only 100 m. away, as the crow flies, from the main square of Cellino Attanasio.
The complete renovation, following anti-seismic regulations, in 1994, was based around the tower, that characterizes the house, that was located on the only access road to the town, in ancient times. Proof of this is the presence of an old fountain: Fonte Luccio, 200 metres away, and one of the nine towers of the Acquaviva dukes present in the surrounding land. The nine towers defending the town were all connected: from the tower, the entrances coming from the Vomano river valley could easily be seen and, if necessary, the town would be closed up and defended.
The reconstruction, with mostly local stone, has respected the ancient structure of the small stone "castle", without giving up comfortable living.
The living area, on the ground floor, leads to two small gardens, of which the one to the west with a pergola, has a beautiful, completely open view. The living room, the dining room, and a general purpose room below have brick vaulted ceilings. This floor is completed by a kitchen, a bathroom and a large laundry room.
The distribution of the rooms revolves around the tower. The staircase is, in fact, an element that generates space to access the sleeping area. This is composed of 3 bedrooms plus large bathroom, walk-in wardrobe and balcony overlooking the living room below; steps lead to the study located on a wooden mezzanine.
The land, measuring approximately 2,000sqm, with many fruit trees, is embellished with hydrangeas, roses, lilies of the valley, magnolias, oleanders, etc.
