Casa San Rocco is situated in a quiet residential area with easy access to the town centre, the railway station and the bus station, which are all within a 5 minute walk. There are buses to Sulmona and the surrounding village, plus a direct service to Rome, several times a day. There is also a direct service to both Rome Ciampino and Rome Fiumicino, at a stop which is 20 mins walk from the house.

Sulmona is only 10 minutes by bus and is a larger town with 2 weekly markets. There is a horse-riding festival (Giostra) in the summer. There are various festivals held in the local villages.
